Bookkeeping vs. Consulting

We charge separate rates for bookkeeping and consulting. Our consulting rate reflects the level of time and expertise required to serve you. We will always let current bookkeeping clients know if an ask or project request falls outside of the scope of bookkeeping and into consulting, and if we have the capacity to take on the additional consulting work. As a general guideline, here are the types of work that fall under consulting:

• PDC compliance consultations and trainings
• Payroll software trainings
• Quickbooks Online trainings
• Restructuring chart of accounts and classes
• Policy and procedure review or development
• Employee handbook review or development
• Fiscal sponsorship agreement review or development
• Initial systems development for setting up fiscal sponsorship
• Meetings or trainings with boards of directors or finance committees
